In the Quebec City area, there is no shortage of high-end residential projects. This homeowner in the Wilfrid-Hamel neighborhood chose the Light Black Contemporary for two complementary applications: a pool fence with tempered glass panels encircling the entire pool, as well as a deck railing on the raised composite wood deck. This project, documented in six photos, illustrates the successful integration of the Aluminium Distinction system into a high-end landscaping design.

Glass pool fence with black aluminum posts

The pool enclosure is constructed of tempered glass panels held in place by brushed stainless steel clips attached to matte black aluminum posts. The transparency of the glass preserves the view of the pool from the terrace and the garden pavilion, while meeting the safety requirements of the Quebec Building Code for pool enclosures.

The raised deck is equipped with a perimeter railing made from the same black “Contemporary” profile with glass panels, anchored into the composite wood structure. A composite wood staircase connects the terrace to the pool deck, with railing posts integrated into the structure of the steps.

Stainless Steel Clips — Precision Finish

A close-up view of the clips reveals the quality of the system’s craftsmanship: each brushed stainless steel clip is secured with millimeter-level precision on both sides of the post, holding the glass panels in place symmetrically and precisely. Visual consistency throughout the property

Using the same black “Contemporary” profile for both installations—the pool fence and the deck railing—creates a unified visual language.
