A few kilometers south of Montreal, in the peaceful town of Saint-Urbain-Premier in the Montérégie region, Aluminium Distinction completed an installation in 2019 that breaks new ground in residential exterior design. The Anodized Round Mural—likely one of the first installations of this size in Quebec—transformed an ordinary facade into a unique sculptural surface.

This 2019 project documents one of the first iterations of LaMurale in its circular format, featuring an anodized finish—a surface treatment that reveals the natural beauty of aluminum without any added pigments. Anodization gives the aluminum a luminous, slightly silvery metallic appearance that contrasts with standard building materials and captures light in a unique way depending on the time of day.
