Black rectangular wall paneling in Hawkesbury, QC

McGill Street

Project presentation

Located on the Ontario border, Hawkesbury is a bilingual town in the Outaouais region where cottage-style homes and more modern buildings stand side by side along the Ottawa River. It is within this diverse architectural setting that this iconic project from Aluminium Distinction’s The Mural line takes shape—a product that transcends the simple railing to become a true element of exterior architectural design.

This project, documented from 2021 to 2023, showcases the rectangular The Mural model in a black finish at various properties in the region. The nine photos—a mix of candid shots from 2021 and professional web photos from 2023—illustrate the versatility of this unique product in the Aluminium Distinction lineup.

The Mural is radically different from traditional railings: it is a powder-coated aluminum wall panel designed to be mounted vertically on the exterior facades of houses, low walls, or fences. The result is a sleek, contemporary design that is unmatched in the aluminum railing market in Quebec.

Project features

The Mural — a unique concept in outdoor decor

The Distinction Rectangular Aluminum Mural is not just a railing—it’s an architectural statement. Its powder-coated aluminum panels, available in several rectangular sizes, are mounted on building facades to create checkerboard, grid, or geometric patterns depending on the chosen configuration. A product without equal in the residential exterior design market in Quebec.

Black finish — the choice for architectural contrast

In black, the rectangular LaMurale creates maximum contrast with light-colored facades. The clean lines of the rectangular panels, accentuated by the matte black finish, produce an architectural effect reminiscent of contemporary architectural designs—at a fraction of the cost of a complete facade renovation.

Powder-coated aluminum — lightweight, rigid, and durable

LaMurale panels are made of high-quality extruded aluminum, which makes them lightweight for easy installation while ensuring exceptional structural rigidity. The black powder-coated finish is resistant to UV rays, the elements, and extreme temperatures without ever fading or peeling.

Versatile installation options — facades, low walls, and fences

The rectangular Mural can be installed on a wide variety of surfaces: wood, composite, and fiber-cement facades; low stone or concrete walls; and existing fences. This versatility makes it suitable for virtually any exterior enhancement project, from residential renovations to commercial developments.

Results

The installation of the rectangular Mural in Hawkesbury has transformed ordinary facades into strikingly modern graphic surfaces. This unique product from Aluminium Distinction confirms that powder-coated aluminum is no longer limited to railings and guardrails—it has become a full-fledged material for exterior architectural decoration.
