Project presentation

A vibrant town in the Lanaudière region, L’Assomption has experienced significant residential growth in recent years, attracting families leaving Montreal in search of space and a better quality of life. It is against this backdrop of new, well-maintained homes that this black Carcassonne railing project stands out—a bold aesthetic choice that reflects the aspirations of a new generation of Quebec homeowners.

These photos, taken in 2019 and 2022, show the Carcassonne railing in its most classic version: black powder-coated. This color scheme, both contemporary and timeless, highlights the Carcassonne’s subtle ornamental details—its finely crafted balusters, decorative finials, and balanced proportions—which transform a functional railing into an architectural design element.

Project features

Carcassonne Handrail — the understated accent that makes all the difference

The Carcassonne is the premier ornamental railing in the Aluminium Distinction line. Its intricately designed balusters and meticulous finishes give it a distinctive character that standard railing models cannot match. In its black version, it offers a subtle and elegant touch, particularly well-suited to light-colored facades where the black-and-white contrast creates a striking architectural effect.

Ornamental black finish — a blend of style and durability

The powder-coated black finish of the Carcassonne isn’t just a color—it’s a signature. This shade highlights every detail of the railing: the reflections on the balusters, the profile of the handrail, and the decorative connectors. And like all Aluminium Distinction products, this black finish won’t chip, won’t tarnish, and will never rust.

Multi-Year Documentation — A Ramp That Spans Time

The photos from 2019 and 2022 show that this black Carcassonne railing has weathered three winters in the Lanaudière region without losing any of its luster. No discoloration, no rust on the joints, no sagging balusters—visual proof of the durability of Aluminium Distinction products.

Versatility of the Models

The Carcassonne 3560 and 3570 models differ in their profile cross-section: the 3570 is slightly larger than the 3560, making it suitable for larger decks or staircases with a steep rise. Both models share the same ornamental features and the same high-quality craftsmanship.

Results

The “Carcassonne noire” installations in L’Assomption confirm that this model is the top choice for homeowners who want an outdoor aluminum railing that is functional, safe, and architecturally distinctive. Whether in Lanaudière’s new neighborhoods or in established areas, the black Carcassonne adds a touch of class to property entrances.

Aluminum Distinction — because a beautiful entrance starts with a beautiful railing.
