Black aluminum outdoor railing in Saint-Jérôme, QC

Rue Labelle, Saint-Jérôme, QC

Project presentation

Saint-Jérôme, the capital of the Laurentians, is a vibrant city where high-end residential projects are on the rise. This homeowner had a clear need: a modern, durable outdoor handrail made of matte black aluminum to ensure safe access to his porch and outdoor stairs. The Contemporary 2000 series in light black was the natural choice to meet this need.

This project is one of the most comprehensive presented in 2021 in the Laurentians region. With eight photos documenting the installation from various angles, it’s easy to see how the ramp blends into the home’s architecture, enhancing both the front and the sides of the property. The matte black finish gives it a decidedly contemporary look, which is highly sought after in new construction and high-end renovations.

Project features

This project included several ramp sections installed in different areas of the house: the front porch, the side staircase, and the secondary entrance. A project of this scale clearly demonstrates the versatility of the Contemporary 2000 model, which is suitable for all types of layouts.

Matte black has been the most popular color at Aluminium Distinction for the past few years. It has become a staple in new construction and high-end renovations because it complements all architectural styles—brick, stone, stucco, wood—while adding an undeniable touch of sophistication.

The 2000 profile features a slim silhouette that doesn’t obscure the facade. Its slender square bars create a pleasing play of shadows and add visual texture without weighing down the overall design. It strikes the perfect balance between aesthetic lightness and structural strength.

All parts were manufactured at a factory in Quebec based on measurements taken on site, ensuring a seamless installation. This process guarantees a clean finish at every joint and every corner.

Maintenance-free performance

Once installed, this powder-coated aluminum outdoor railing requires no maintenance. No rust, no repainting—even after several winters in the Laurentians. The black stays black, and the railing stays beautiful—that’s the promise of Aluminium Distinction.

Results

After installing this Contemporary 2000 matte black handrail, the residence in Saint-Jérôme has gained both visual cohesion and safety. The eight photos showcase meticulous workmanship, a high-quality product, and an installation built to last.
